Keeping Busy

As the summer draws to a close and we enter the fall, we can look forward to a myriad of events and activities here in Desert Ridge. We live in a beautiful community with much to offer and many activities to be shared.

We had a very successful initial Battle of the Teen Bands at Reach 11 this summer.
It encompassed residents of all ages and was enjoyed by all. We look forward to our upcoming events and festivities.

The Fall Harvest Festival/Trunk or Treat will take place in Cashman Park at Desert Ridge on Friday, October 19. The movie “Coco” will be the feature presentation. In addition, there will be food trucks, a DJ, games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, age-appropriate inflatables, a pet costume parade and contest. It should be an excellent time for all.

Our exciting Farmers Market on High Street will be returning to High Street starting this fall EVERY Sunday, October 28, 2018 to April 29, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

It’s time once again for the Mega Community-Wide Yard Sale. It will take place this fall on Saturday, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Goodwill of Central Arizona will have a donation truck available to collect all unwanted items from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Cashman Park at Desert Ridge, 22222 N. 44th Place, Phoenix, Arizona.

Once again, the Desert Ridge Lifestyles Committee is proud to celebrate our Veterans with a Veterans Day Appreciation Breakfast at Mimi’s Café in Desert Ridge. If you are a Desert Ridge resident that has honored us all through your service in the armed forces, including active duty servicemen and servicewomen, please join us with your family members at Mimi’s Café for a complimentary appreciation breakfast on behalf of the Desert Ridge Community Association.

We will have our popular Ladies Night Out returning on Tuesday, November 13, at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at La Bocca Wine Bar and Urban Kitchen. We encourage all the ladies residents of Desert Ridge to attend. This social mixer is a wonderful time for our ladies in the community to gather and relax as they meet and mingle with their neighbors, friends and make new acquaintances at various restaurants in the community.

We invite our adult residents (couples and singles) to join us at our last Community Night Out social for 2018 at Marjele’s Sports Grill on Tuesday, December 4, to launch the holiday spirit in Desert Ridge.

The Coffee Club takes place on the second Tuesday of the month. The next event is December 11. There are also community updates from the Desert Ridge management team, Community Action Officer, AAA Landscape, board representative, and community partners. Please join us for this event at Holiday Inn Express & Suites located at 4575 E. Irma Lane, Phoenix, AZ.
